No – the actual cost of testing is determined by what is being tested, time to test, number of participants, and location. But our aim is to offer the highest levels of expertise at comparatively modest rates. This is particularly important when integrating our services with other research organisations.
We are able to provide our services at highly attractive rates because we have low infrastructure costs – we don’t use sales people, account managers or administrative staff, and you always deal directly with the consultant.
It depends on a number of things such as:
Sample sizes start at about 8 participants for straightforward usability studies. However, if the study is more quantitative in nature, the scenarios are more complex, or if the materials have a low visibility then it is appropriate to include larger samples. Our background in research methods and experimental psychology coupled with our experience with conducting commercial eye tracking projects means we are able to tailor solutions to match research objectives.
Eye tracking research is conducted on a one-to-one basis and not in a focus group style environment. However we have access to a range of eye trackers which means that a number of eye tracking sessions can run concurrently.
Typically a project is initiated and conducted in the following way:
Our aim is to offer as flexible a service as possible. eyetracker can provide full research services, delivering in-depth data encoding, reporting, analysis and recommendations or simply provide discrete elements of an integrated research brief such as the eye tracking footage.
We can also blend eye tracking with other components where appropriate. For example, this might include surveys, interviews and scenario-based testing.
Our high-tech,fully equipped lab facility is available for hire with or without engaging the services of our research team and we provide a range of system rentals for those clients for which purchasing an eye tracker doesn’t make sense.
All our research services are fully customised to meet the individual needs of the client, adapting different methods and approaches to achieve the desired result in the available timeframe and budget.
Yes – we have a number of portable eye tracking systems that enable us to conduct projects in different locations simultaneously. Furthermore, with partners in Europe and the United States it means our services are available globally. The eye tracking sessions can be streamed live to any desktop, so clients don’t even have to physically attend the sessions.
This depends on the type of project and the level of analysis and reporting required. For example, some clients just want us to provide eye tracking footage that they will analyse themselves, while others require in-depth data encoding and analysis. For other projects we may be providing full reports with detailed recommendations to optimise designs and materials, sometimes in the form of mock-ups and templates.
Our eye tracking services are applied to such a broad range of applications and we are able to draw upon our network of partners where additional, specific expertise is required.
Yes – we are happy to help out with proposal opportunities. We have numerous materials and samples that can add value to proposals and where necessary, are happy to supply specific examples in the context of the particular study.
The time required to turn around eye tracking projects depends on the type of study and volume of data to be analysed.
For a typical study we can provide the results within 5 days. This includes aggregated data, and visualisations plus an in-depth analysis of all scanpaths, on all materials, for all participants. In addition, we are able to draw upon a flexible resource of over 2000 analysis hours per week, putting us in a unique position to quickly turn around larger projects.
