Allowing complete head movement – the largest range of head mounted optics available

Head mounted systems are designed to accurately track pupil size, eye movement and eye point-of-regard data from subjects while allowing complete freedom of head movement. Such applications include:

  • Reading
  • Driving and cockpit simulators
  • Virtual reality applications
  • Visual psychophysics

eyetracker offers the largest selection of head mounted optics available. ASL’s state-of-the-art head-mounted system (H6) uses bright pupil optics that provide the best pupil image contrast in most indoor environments. The standard H6 optics tracks at 60 Hz, with high speed camera options that can collect data at 120, 240, and 360 Hz.

No heavy camera or helmets

ASL has eliminated the need for heavy cameras, wide visors and heavy helmets and created one of the lightest, most versatile and most comfortable head mounted eye tracking solutions available. The head mounted system is available in both monocular and binocular configurations.

EYEHEAD™ Integration enabling the integration of eye and head position to compute the location of the gaze vector in true three dimensional space is also available with this system.

Easy to use

Many of the functions of the head mounted systems are fully automated for ease of use but also accommodate manual overrides when adjustments are required for more challenging subjects.

Adapting to new environments

An important feature of the H6 is that the head mounted optics are interchangeable with desktop/remote and long range optics, providing excellent adaptability to changing environments without the need to purchase an additional system. This unique design allows for evolving research projects and changing research needs. The control unit is compatible with a large number of PCs and monitor sizes giving researchers the flexibility to use any computer and display that meets their needs. This also means that when a technology fails or a new one is introduced, the ASL solution continues to adapt to the new environments.
