Specialisation for brain imaging research studies with fMRI and MEG
ASL’s Long Range Optics for fMRI is the first remote, video based eye tracking system designed specifically for research studies with functional MRI.
The system works with a wide range of MRI and MEG equipment and multiple visual display systems. It tracks both eye movement, point of gaze and pupil size whilst being wholly non-intrusive to the patient. The eye tracker avoids interference with the fMRI system as the optic unit is constructed using virtually no ferrous metal and is positioned some distance from the bore. Only a small relay mirror needs to be installed within the magnet. The LRO optics track at a number of speeds – the standard option tracks at 60 Hz whilst the high speed option tracks at 120 Hz and 240 Hz.
This system meets the needs of minimal intrusion, ease of use and easy maintenance. ASL’s experience and expertise in this field is unmatched with the system successfully installed in over 100 locations across the globe.
Experience includes, but is not exclusive to installations in Siemens Allegra, Siemens TIM Trio, Philips and GE. ASL has successful installations with both CP head coils and 8 and 12 channel head coils.
ASL’s engineers can assist with optical path designs, custom configurations, stimulus display inquiries, training and installation.
